Chicago // Day Two

OMFG !! Get ready to fall head over heels in love with The Soho House!!! It's in The Fulton Market area. Soho House was founded in London in 1995 as a home away from home for people working in creative fields. There are Houses located in the UK, Berlin, Istanbul, New York, West Hollywood, Miami, Toronto, and then of course Chicago. Unlike other club concepts, which often focus on wealth and status, they aim to assemble communities of members that have something in common: namely, a creative soul. The majority of the members work in traditional creative services, with the film, fashion, advertising, music, art, and media sectors, among others, heavily represented.  The morning I was visiting there was a blogger network meetup with 100 of Chicago's top bloggers. I was drooling! These are my people. This is my place!!!

The Soho Lounge is just exquisite!! It's so swanky! I have a thing for floor to ceiling windows. I am still daydreaming about all that natural light. The Allis at Soho House serves blue bottle coffee (SWOON, major major swoon), Owen & Alchemy juices (highly recommend the blueberry basil and lime) and everything on the breakfast and lunch menu is fantastic !!! I can't stop thinking about my time there!

Upstairs in The Soho House lives the very cute Pizza East! And the equally cute Chicken Shop. I have yet to try them but cannot wait for my next visit!

You must indulge in an espresso cream doughnut at some point from Firecakes Donuts. They have the cutest store front and the cutest little donut truck !!!

Do walk along Michigan Avenue and do some shopping! You will want to burn off all the food calories too! Highly recommend Top Shop. I scored these pastel yellow platforms on my last visit.

As I always stay at Hotel Lincoln, I know my way around Lincoln Park and Old Town very well. You must do dinner at Orso's Restaurant. It's a family owned little neighborhood place with the best italian I have ever had! Dine al fresco on the beautiful patio with the prettiest lighting in the evening. Highly recommend the mussels and the lasagna! The chicken alfredo is amazing too.  And drinks at The River Shannon are a must especially if you are a dog lover ! It's so dog friendly..the dogs are even sitting in bar stools. Cutest thing ever. I did not want to leave !

DO DO DO take a Soul Cycle class at Soulcycle Old Town. I entered the Soul Sanctuary on a Saturday morning and talk about a mind body connection. I am addicted to Soul Cycle and wish so badly it was in every city, especially mine. There is nothing like it. Tapping it back with about 60 other babes.....i just cannot even put this experience into words.

WRIGLEY FIELD... you just have to see a Cubs game one time in your life before you die !!! Bucket list (check). This was amazing even though the cubbies lost.

This Windy City has my whole heart! Making a trip there? Here's my faves for exploring Chicago on foot!

Sam
