Simple Strawberry Shake

Lin and I are trying really hard to eliminate sugar from our diets and really stick to a solid clean eating plan. I love love this simple recipe from Ani Phyo. This simple shake is packed with antioxidants and low -glycemic strawberries for a beautiful pink color ! 

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries. (i love fresh when in season )

1 cup cashews or walnuts, ideally soaked in filtered water overnight and rinsed well

1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil

1 tablespoon vanilla extract, alcohol free , or 1/2 whole vanilla bean

1 pinch of grade B organic maple syrup if you need the sweetener. I think the strawberries are sweet enough for me personally.

1/2 cup ice

1 cup filtered water

If you really want to detox add 1/2 teaspoon matcha to the 1 cup filtered water or replace the water with 1 cup brewed green tea instead 

Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and get to that morning meeting and slay it !
