The 6 Best Dresses of the Globes

Roll out the red carpet. Pour yourself a glass of rosé or five..it's going to be a long night darlings.

Will Moonlight shine? Will LaLa Land sing?! Will Mr. Robot hack Westworld?! Who will throw shade on on our President Elect?! What will SJP will be wearing and will she win for her amazing role with my new fave show Divorced? Will Tom Ford do the mannequin challenge?! OMG!!! Who will make my best dressed list?! All the questions and anticipation! It's killing me. But at last red carpet season is finally here and I could not be more excited!!!

I have been busy catching up with all of the movies nominated and I have to tell you my favorite film of 2016 was Nocturnal Animals. It was so David Lynch meets Alfred Hitchcock meets Douglas Sirk. Such a sexy thriller with the most beautiful composition and color. But really how could we expect anything less from the brilliant Tom Ford? At the end of it I just had to sit there and process how f'ing great it was...while everyone in the theatre was downing it, I just knew they didn't understand it. They couldn't get the deeper meaning of everything Tom wanted to convey in this movie. IT WAS BRILLIANT. And I hope it takes an Oscar this year. I have really high expectations for Jackie too. Natalie Portman was the perfect Jackie Kennedy ( I mean the Natalie Portman Jackie accent.. can that please just be my new voice?) and I am just as eager to see her slay that red carpet! AND as I am NOW typing in live time ...she absolutely slayed in yellow. And don't even get me crying over Manchester by the Sea...that film will break your heart in a million pieces but I promise, like a first love that faded away, it's worth every second. Such a brilliant piece of art.

So let's just get to the fashion, shall we?! Hollywood delivered tonight on that red carpet and these were the best looks of the night!! And I do have 6 picks!  I just couldn't pair it down to 3 per my usual.

BEST DRESSED:

My absolute BEST Dressed goes to Drew Barrymore. I love the element of surprise and she surprised the hell out of me tonight! Now my best dressed always go to the entire look from the gown, to the hair, the nails, the makeup, and Drew nailed it. My god, did she turn heads in a shimmering Monique Lhuillier gown. This metallic number featured cold shoulders, the deepest V-neck, and delicate embellishment. She amped up her red-carpet look with a dark manicure and eye-catching silver cocktail rings on her fingers. And the voluminous retro-inspired hairstyle and a smokey eye completed the look and it was EVERYTHING for me. She never stopped smiling and had this overall confidence to her and I just want to be her bestie!

2nd best dressed goes to Amy Adams. This sleek look is Tom Ford and is no surprise here. She looks stunning in dark sequins and I am going crazy over the geometric cut at the bodice. She looks classy and elegant and I love her signature red hair falling in a sleek cascade. The earrings are stunning and I just think it's perfection.

3rd best dressed goes to Mandy Moore. She stunned in a navy blue Naeem Khan number featuring a neckline that reached her belly button and a matching, floor-skimming cape. (seriously crushing hard on that cape) She accessorized with bejeweled drop earrings and a blue velvet clutch, as seen in an Instagram before the ceremony. As for her glam, she opted for a dark eye, nude lip and Essie’s At the Barre gel nail polish.

4th best dressed goes to Natalie Portman. This 3/4 length sleeved yellow Prada gown with beaded embellishment is just stunning on her. And that baby bump is the cutest thing I have seen all year. And all of those beautiful diamonds.... all from Tiffany & Co, including diamond fringe earrings, a gorgeous white and yellow diamond ring and a Tiffany archival platinum and diamond bracelet that is actually from 1910, which the adorable star gushed was "quite amazing" during an interview with Ryan Seacrest. I love the hair and makeup . So very 60's bohemian. I just love her but I want her to talk in the Jackie accent forever.

5th best dressed goes to Chrissy Teigen. She looks amazing in this Marchesa dress which features gold floral embellishments and pretty ruffles. I love love love the high neckline and this gown was backless. She looks absolutely stunning. I enjoyed the peplum waistline all though it's getting a lot of negative reviews. I adore the sleek ponytail, earrings, and dark bold lip.

My 6th and final favorite best dressed goes to Jessica Biel. Elie Saab was the perfect choice for her. She has legs for days and this skirt put all the attention on them, with a thigh-exposing slit. Loving the black and white pattern and 3D embellishments. I love the deep plunging neck line and hello sexy side-boob. I just can't figure out who's hotter..her or Justin??!

And bravo Meryl. Just bravo!

What a fantastic night in Hollywood. I had the highest expectations for Blake Lively and Sarah Jessica Parker and cannot believe both of my fashion icons are on my worst list this year. I am going to go now to process this!

XOOXOOXOXO
