For the majority of my life I have always had long hair but have also always worn hair extensions! And it’s no secret! But if you are a new reader, let me bring you in on a little secret of mine: I wear extensions more often than not! While I wish that my hair could grow five inches overnight, I’ve come to terms with the fact that extensions are the only way to make this dream a reality. Don’t get me wrong, I love wearing my hair natural too, well okay, I am totally fibbing…I hate my natural hair. I’m lacking in volume and length so I make up for it with my hair extensions. You can search hair extensions on my blog and have a whole weekend’s worth of reading material. Two years ago I made a big decision to leave the brand of extensions I had been wearing for a long time for Great Lengths hair extensions and while I was very happy with how they looked, I was not happy with a lot of things about them! (The major thing being the price and the longevity of them)Read More
If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know that I am back from Memphis, and have been gearing up for Runway Tulsa! I actually am never home for this event so I was thrilled to actually attend for the first time ever! Can you believe that?! Thank you travel gods!!!
I am so excited to kick off the festivities with Fashion in The Square in Utica Square! I love it there, especially this time of year!!
This is a FREE event to celebrate Utica Square's long-held reputation as Tulsa's premier fashion, retail and restaurant district. The latest styles take center stage at the Merchant Runway Show in the Square's Garden on Saturday October 13 right in-between The Wild Fork and Starbucks! I was actually asked to walk down the runway this year but had to politely pass on that part! (I am so shy ya’ll)Read More
Happy fall everyone!!!
I could not be more excited for this special time of year and just because it's cooler out doesn't mean that you have to trade in your shorter dresses, right? Pairing separates and dresses with the season's hottest tights style is the best (and one of the most affordable!) way to easily update your wardrobe. Tights will keep your legs cozy and make them look sexy. Plus tights can be worn under basically anything.
Hosiery is making a big comeback for fall and there were plenty of examples at New York Fashion Week that I was absolutely drooling over!! Basic black tights are fail-proof,(and I think every gal needs a few in her drawer) but the season’s best offerings involve a bit more risk taking, with colors, embellishments and the perennial fishnet. I mean Blake Lively is always wearing fishnet stockings with sexy mini tight slouchy dresses and tailored coats!
So that’s why I teamed up with Berkshire® Leg wear this season ! They are a USA manufactured and a leading department, specialty and online brand and they have designed its best collection yet with many fashion innovations.Read More
The year was 2018…or was it?!!
I recently had the pleasure of attending one of the funnest wedding celebrations I have ever attended!!! Their was music, flower crowns, food trucks, a beer garden, anacondas, and even helicopter rides.
It was truly so magical!!! The dusty air, sunset, amazing food and tunes. I felt like I was at my favorite music festival actually. And festivals really weave a special kind of magic – it’s wild, invigorating, and the energy is electric. With a buzz in the air and glitter in your hair and all over your face— nothing can make you feel more alive than the chaos and freedom of a festival or a celebration of love!!!!!!!
I booked a trip to Maine this November traveling the coast from Acadia to Boston and I could not be more excited. Traveling Maine's rocky coastline surrounded with fall foliage has been on my bucket list for ages and ages. I just cannot wait to visit the quaint seaside towns along the way. I know that these Atlantic shores of this northeastern state have plenty to offer and I am ready to take it all in for two glorious weeks. Awe--give me all the chilly sea breezes and local seafood.
I knew I wanted to take some of Zelma Rose's pieces with me to explore coastal Maine so I was so excited when Lisa sent me two of her beautiful creations for all my New England seaside adventures.
I am incredibly excited for Go French Yourself as it’s been nominated for an @amaraibas Interior Blog Award for Best Use of Photography Blog. 📸💕👏🏼
I would be so appreciative for your vote today if you love my blog through September 15th to make it onto the shortlist ahead of the awards ceremony.
I love exploring a city I’m visiting and capturing its essence. When I travel somewhere new, or if I want to play tourist in my own city, I like to find the best spots to take pictures. I so look forward to really capturing all the hot spots in all the cities I travel to and sharing them with you so you can also capture some amazing photos for your Insta grid. And we know it's for Instagram, right?! Laugh out loud.
So there are some people who never feel the urge to leave the house . They’re completely content to stay in the city they came from and literally just float in the 360 degrees that surround them. And then there’s the rest of us who can’t sit still . We have a love for travel and curiosity. We love taking risks, exploring new places , ideas, and foods. We even live for the day trips hitting that big magical open road exploring our own cities . We embrace these #NeverIdle lifestyle just like #TeamValvoline.
I’m working with Valvoline to feature some of Tulsa’s coolest street art with my top 4 murals that are not to be missed! Valvoline believes we were never meant to sit. To rest. To settle . We were meant to run. So we totally align in so many ways.Read More
It’s no secret that I love female entrepreneurs!!
Jeana has such an incredible story and it's been so fun getting to know her fully! She is always direct, and honest. She always tells it like it is, doesn’t dwell, and instead always moves forward. So inspired by Jeana, I returned home and started brainstorming a shoot location and knew I wanted to feature her on Go French Yourself.Read More

Do you dream of a place called home? Do you long for someplace, somewhere out there? Do you picture yourself on a lush, tropical island, on a quaint city street in San Francisco, in a hip ski town, or on a green hill top in the Mediterranean ? For a long while now, I’ve been telling myself that I need to move; that Tulsa is too small, too conservative, too . . . familiar for me. I feel so isolated and limited here...like I am slowly slowly suffocating. The man of my dreams STILL has this invitation for me to move to Barcelona. And I am dragging my feet you all. Who drags their feet for an opportunity like this? What am I so scared of???Read More
So excited to be kicking the month and summer off with a Fitness post for you. A few weeks ago I had a few appointments get shuffled at the very last moment and had wished I had my work out attire with me as I could have easily made it to Pilates or Indoor Cycling. I even could have joined a friend at her kickboxing class had I been prepared. So I came home and immediately packed a ready-to-go gym bag with all the needed essentials to just keep in my trunk at all times. Now there really is no time for excuses for your daily sweat session. Lol! Below, I’ve put together a little cheat sheet of items that I keep in my gym bag so that there’s nothing standing between me and my summer bod and hopefully it will inspire you to keep a little gym bag in your car too!Read More
I am still dreaming of that "Feast From The Middle East" in fact. Best meal, best place, and I would return to Portland just to dine at Tusk.
Tusk takes the top spot for most beautiful restaurant in my eyes. The bustling bright, white dining room is so swanky and modern. And a giant portrait of Keith Richards floating in a swimming pool will greet you with a 'Okay I loooove this place' kinda greeting. We chose the perfect little spot right at the very corner end of the bar actually. We didn't make reservations so it was pretty slim pickings but honestly-I think I would do the bar every single time. The energy is amazing up there and you can get a pretty good view into the kitchen where all the magic is happening. They do have a patio also!Read More
So now I needed to find my new Summer bag and that's when I began researching and came across Armadio. They are a New York based online store offering certified, unique Italian products. In an era of mass production they believe in people and their ideas. Their mission is to find the excellence of contemporary Italian manufacturing and share it with the world. They travel to Italy to search the best it has to offer. They look for talented people who are still undiscovered. They meet them and connect with them and bring their products directly to their customers by cutting all necessary costs. Lucky me, lucky you!
