If you meet me in person, you’ll realize just how much of a skin fanatic I am. For me, good skin isn’t about vanity; it’s about confidence, because when you feel good in your skin it shows through. At home skincare is obviously super important to achieving/maintaining good skin and I plan on covering a lot more on the blog this season as there’s so much confusion out there.Read More
Present shopping. As much as I love it, at times it's a chore, especially for family members who have EVERYTHING and don’t need anything. I'm the type of person that likes to buy meaningful presents too. I really take great great pride in this! And I already have Mother’s Day and Father’s Day on the brain! Like me, you may have started thinking about what to buy people. Jotting down the ideas, making the lists.
About a month ago I was introduced to a very exciting digitizing company that I'm sure you'll want to know about. This company called LEGACYBOX really caught my eye because they were perfectly aligned with my mission to become a more thoughtful gift giver-even more thoughtful than I already was and am. It may sound funny, but I really do believe in the magic of gift giving. There is something very special and meaningful about a gesture — big or small — that exists solely to share and express love and gratitude. And in my book, this is what 2019 is all about for me.Read More

Actually putting things on a nightstand in the guest room that your guests could/would enjoy?!!! Oui, please!!!
No matter who your guests are, there are a few items that are great, essential pieces to have on hand.
A bedside table-light is a great piece to start with when you are trying to figure out what to place on a side table or nightstand. It provides light if your guests need to get up in the middle of the night or perhaps they are readers and there is nothing worse than having to get up from bed sleepy eyed to turn off a light-switch. We love this Paris light by Javier Martinez from Gantri so much. Like all things French, Paris is simple, stylish and sophisticated. Its elegant design evokes the vintage and minimalist aesthetic of the French New Wave yet reimagined for the modern era. This versatile light adds character, culture and a soft, warm glow to any bedroom, living room or kitchen. It’s très chic, for nostalgics and modernists alike. It also comes in three colors!!Read More

If my hair could speak, then mine would definitely be screaming, “I’m oily! And I am thinning!”. The older I get..the more I struggle with the epic battle of thinning hair and even hair loss. I have extensions and that is a great solution for thicker fuller hair but when you start thinning at the roots at the very top of your head—well extensions cannot fix that. I part my hair in the middle too and when I keep seeing that middle part get wider and wider I literally want to hide and cry.
Hellloooo Ladies! Happy 2019!!
I am so excited that my first post of the new year is one that is health related as I cannot think of a better time to start taking care of business and by business, I mean a healthy urinary tract! Sometimes life throws us curveballs which makes our bodies throw us curveballs and suddenly nothing is working right. I'm talking about getting a dreaded urinary tract infection, which is one of the most common bacterial infections. And for me, my very own stress levels trigger urinary tract infections. (Our bodies struggle to flush out UTI-causing bacteria more when we're stressed and our immune system is compromised than when we're feeling healthy.) It has been this way for years and years too. I admit it. I have suffered from chronic recurrent UTI’s my whole adult life. And my personal vow when suffering from a health discomfort is to always try and heal naturally first so today I am sharing some tips and tricks to reduce the re-occurrence of UTIs among sufferers. These tips will help you maintain good urinary tract health in the new year and beyond.Read More
I know many of you might need some last minute stocking stuffers and beautiful products for your guest bathrooms too this Christmas season so today I want to share Soaptopia with you!
Their SOAPstory began as a vision in Venice, California in 2005, and has blossomed to fill the homes and hearts of customers with alluring smells, moisturizing lathers, and products that are pumped with personality.
While ever-searching for the perfect pure and natural solution for her allergies to most products that saturated the market, Soaptopia founder Jolie Chitwood explored new alternatives, hoping to find a product that was equal parts nourishing, natural, and enveloped in a yummy scent. She experimented with her own concoctions, and her newfound solution became an inspiration to focus on the energetic aspects of healing, and understanding of how energy moves within our bodies. She created her own handmade soaps, transforming her home into an apothecary of sensory bliss, filled with flowers and natural oils, and immersed herself in the study of herbal holistic education.Read More
Looking for simple, elegant Halloween and Thanksgiving table decor ideas? This pumpkin floral centerpiece combines sage green and a softer, romantic color palette that screams all things fall.
I will totally admit that this fall I’ve been struggling with inspiration. Everyone was decorating pumpkins and making cornucopias and it was all I could do to bring out some of our festive decorations. So I headed over to Glitter Guide’s website (something I always do when I need some good inspo) and I found these beautiful pumpkin floral centerpieces that Baba Souk shared on their site! I fell in love with the look of them and was so intrigued by how easy they seemed to put together!Read More

Today is NATIONAL MAMMOGRAPHY DAY and I wanted to share a personal story with you all…
National Mammography Day is observed annually on the third Friday in October as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This day serves as a reminder to all women that the best defense is early detection. A mammogram can often detect a problem before there is any outward physical sign. Make sure you get your regular checkups.
The story of my mammogram…
Let me start off by saying, breast cancer does not run in my family.Read More
For the majority of my life I have always had long hair but have also always worn hair extensions! And it’s no secret! But if you are a new reader, let me bring you in on a little secret of mine: I wear extensions more often than not! While I wish that my hair could grow five inches overnight, I’ve come to terms with the fact that extensions are the only way to make this dream a reality. Don’t get me wrong, I love wearing my hair natural too, well okay, I am totally fibbing…I hate my natural hair. I’m lacking in volume and length so I make up for it with my hair extensions. You can search hair extensions on my blog and have a whole weekend’s worth of reading material. Two years ago I made a big decision to leave the brand of extensions I had been wearing for a long time for Great Lengths hair extensions and while I was very happy with how they looked, I was not happy with a lot of things about them! (The major thing being the price and the longevity of them)Read More

My favorite parts of my skincare and bedtime routine occur in the evening. There's nothing more satisfying than giving your skin and mind all the love and TLC it needs after a stressful day. The night is also the time where your skin repairs itself, so it makes sense to give it as much help as it needs to achieve maximum results. Below are some of my tried and tested gems that I really recommend for some overnight magic—some for the skin-some for the mind.Read More
One thing I do know is that I would really love for my skin to look like I was just born. Which means: facials every month!!!
Think of professional facials as a monthly ‘spring cleaning’ for your skin. While daily cleansing, weekly exfoliating and skin care are essential, it’s the professional facials that will thoroughly clean your skin and revitalise it incomparably.
Although results from facials are usually seen instantly after a single facial, the benefits of committing to regular facials are cumulative – and here are 4 reasons why you need monthly facials:Read More
