DIY HAT WALL FEATURING SAFRAN EVERYDAY

To create this look on your own, all you need is hooks from Safran Everyday and of course your hat collection. Now I first mentioned this project when I introduced you to Safran Everyday in July in this post here….and y’all went crazy about their organization goodies!! And y’all particularly wanted a DIY tutorial on the hat wall!!! And I do love to deliver so here you are!!

(I’ve linked some of my favorite hats for you here too)

First I measured…let’s be honest, eyeballed how many hats would fit in this space. Then, I rearranged the hats on the floor until I found the design I wanted. Once I decided on a style and pattern, I went for it!! An even number of hats worked better for me here even though I first tried it with an odd number.

Just screw the hooks into the wall and you’ve quickly and easily transformed a plain wall into your very own hat wall which protects your hats from damage and also adds a nice visual display!! I am such a hat lover and my hats are very much an extension of myself!! I am quite proud of my collection and love showing it off!

DIY Hat Wall: Style Pointers

1. Random Placement

The more random the hats look on this DIY hat wall, the better. Don’t feel the need to be symmetrical and go for a perfect grid. If the hats are of different sizes, it’ll look weird in a grid form. So opt for a random configuration instead. I think this looks better!

You also want to ensure there’s a bit of room between each hat; about 10cm. You want each one to have a little breathing space.

2. Check your ColoR Story

Carefully consider your color story! I kept mine neutral with a palette that matches the bedroom decor. My brighter hats are in the closet!

3. No need for a Hero

Often when people do gallery walls with pictures, they tend to have one larger piece in the middle and then have smaller pieces around it.

Ignore that approach when putting your hat wall together. There’s no need for one hat to be the star. Because the hats are all round, having one as the star and then circling more hats around it will create a giant circle on the wall. Not cute. Have hats of a similar size instead and let them all play together. You can have hero hats and have them at the top of your hat wall!

Hopefully this helps you! But if you still have questions please feel free to reach out!

And seriously check out Safran Everyday for all of your organizational needs around the whole house!!
