Taking On The Belt Bag Trend With Maria Maleta

The belt bag trend has been in full force and I am just now jumping in!! Truth be told, I was not even particularly open to this trend until I saw a belt bag I fell in love with from Maria Maleta. Fist off it’s black and beige which is my favorite pairing in fashion. I love wearing those two colors together. It’s also incredible quality and handmade in Portugal.

I love Maria Meleta’s story too!

This is the tale about two best friends with an obvious passion for fashion and handbags. If the first love sweets, the second one prefers salty snacks. If one likes movies, the other one prefers music. If one likes quiet places, the other one prefers parties. One of them will be forever the sentimental girl, and the other the rational girl. The list goes on. However, there is one thing these two gals have in common which is a big friendship from which Maria Maleta was born. They believe that every person has two personal sides, therefore most of their products reflect that versatility as they can be used in many different ways.

Maria Maleta is a Portuguese brand of design leather goods, bags and accessories, they only work with raw materials of high quality made with the best production of Portugal.

They believe we live on a planet with a lot of waste and with a serious environmental problems due to high consumption rates. And I agree!  So Maria Maleta enjoys making long-lasting products and they are proud to give a lifetime warranty to all of their leather goods. Broken doesn’t mean useless, just mean that it has to be fixed. And they are happy to help you on your journey with your bag.

You don’t need a lot of bags to be happy, just need the bag that makes you proud to care

So now the belt bag!!

I know one thing and that is there isn´t anything more comfortable than having your hands free to embrace the world. Dance, jump and hug! (well maybe not the hugging part right now….thanks Covid! ) I just love being hands free, ya know?! And with this beauty from Maria Maleta and the high quality materials and modern shape, I certainly do not feel like I am wearing the fanny pack from the 80’s!

I am going to dive into a few fun ways I have been wearing this trend!!

Around Your Shoulders at the Front of your Body

This style of wearing the belt bag is convenient, and perfect if you’re wearing just a plain t-shirt and a casual look…all though I love it with a chic office look too! And I love it over a dress!! This would be great for a concert or the fair or another outdoor activity . This will also be great for traveling across the pond when it’s safe again!

Around the Shoulders in Back

This look is a lot more like a cross body bag and works very similarly. I think this look is just so cute! But of course not great for too much security!

Around the waist over top

I typically do not love this look on me but I think it works for a lot of people!

What do you think?!

Be sure to check out Maria Maleta ASAP! Every single thing is just so lovely. I want to get one of the backpacks soon!

Who wouldn’t want a chic sustainable bag made in Portugal?!

They were so sweet to gift me these fringe shoe accessories too!
