I absolutely love making laundry day easier , eco-friendlier, and just plain happier y’all! And today I am excited to share my experience with Loohoo.
Loohoo’s adorable chic dryer balls are laundry’s little miracle workers!!! They hop along with each load giving me fluffier towels, softer sheets, and less-wrinkly shirts while also cutting down on drying time!

Clean, green machines... Dryer balls are an eco-friendly swap for fabric softener and dryer sheets, which often contain potentially toxic chemicals that can coat your laundry and irritate skin. If you’d like to add in some scent, dab a few drops of your favorite essential oil on the dryer balls, and they’ll share the fragrance as they spin. This is one of my favorite things to do!!!!! I love scented laundry where Lin is super sensitive to fragrance.

WHAT MAKES LOOHOO SPECIAL?
When the company LooHoo was formed in 2010, they were determined to use only domestic wool in order to support American sheep farmers and the Farming Industry. The founder also wanted LooHoo to help support the local economy. Less than 100 miles from their headquarters in Camden, Maine, is a historic wool mill where they get all of their wool.
LooHoos are Made in Maine, USA with 100% domestic wool.
“WHERE DID LOOHOO BEGIN?
When I became pregnant, I learned that children are more susceptible to toxic chemicals than adults. I knew I wanted to create a healthy home environment for my child. I started researching, and was determined to protect my family’s health and choose safer non-toxic products for our home.
My quest for creating a healthier home began in the laundry room. Since we would be doing A LOT more laundry with a new baby, coupled with the fact that we chose to cloth diaper, I knew I needed to start there.
The detergent I used for years was the first to go and was replaced with a soap nuts detergent that was natural and organic.
Next, I looked at the clothes dryer and began researching dryer sheets. I was shocked to learn about the harmful chemicals they contained and the negative impact they have on our clothes and our dryer.
Right then and there, I stopped using dryer sheets.
I began the search for a natural alternative that would help soften our laundry and came across wool dryer balls. It felt like I was discovering the best-kept laundry secret! Wool dryer balls are made with only wool, which is all natural, sustainable, biodegradable and durable PLUS they soften our clothes and reduce our dry time. It sounded too good to be true until I tested them for myself. They worked! Really, really well! Unfortunately, the wool balls I purchased didn’t last long and started to unravel.
Having a creative background that stems from a childhood fascination will all things CRAFTY, I was determined to make my own. I visited a local farm, purchased some wool and got to work. Needless to say, they turned out disastrous! So, I got some more wool and tried again, and again, and again… until I came up with a method that worked. WooHoo, the first LooHoo!
