Easy Weeknight Homemade Pizza Featuring Otamot Foods

Few things in the kitchen are more satisfying + comforting than making homemade pizza dough at home! I think we all need some #ComfortFood today too!

It all comes down to the perfect mix of four simple ingredients:

Flour
Baking powder
Olive oil
Sugar

Add a splash of water and a pinch of salt to the equation and there is no need for yeast! It’s incredibly easy to work with.

Simply roll out your dough, slather on a yummy tomato sauce and get to work with your toppings of choice.

I love so many different pizza toppings depending on my mood but one non negotiable for me is a really GOOD rich flavorful tomato sauce!

I love Otamot’s Essential Sauce ! (yes that is TOMATO backwards) Otamot Organic Essential Sauce is a vitamin-rich tomato sauce that’s great base for healthy family meals. (kids will have no idea it has 10 veggies…LOL) Made with 10 vegetables, it has no added sugar or preservatives, is high in fiber, (anyone else desperately trying to get enough fiber..hello 4-0) USDA organic, non-GMO, gluten free, and Whole30 approved. It is also naturally lower in acid than most sauces because of the variety of vegetables it contains.

Otamot is thicker than typical prepared tomato sauces simply because it has more concentrated goodness and less added water. It’s the perfect base for countless meal options and can be used straight from the jar as a sauce or dip, or diluted with water or stock to suit your favorite recipes. I love it on homemade pizza!!!!

I love the Customized Essential Sauce too! What a great stocking stuffer!!! So I have Samantha’s Essential Sauce which makes me feel very fancy!!

One of my favorite items from Otamot is this Otamot Organic Mixed Sauce 4-Pack! It includes two jars of Organic Essential Sauce and one jar each of Carrot Bolognese Sauce and Spicy Sauce. Oh how I love the spicy sauce over pasta noodles and fresh basil and parmesan cheese!!!!!! It brings the heat to your kitchen and is the most delicious and nutritious spicy sauce you will find. Made with 12 vegetables, it has no added sugar or preservatives, is high in fiber, USDA organic, non-GMO, gluten free, and Whole30 approved. Ideal for countless dishes from pasta to pizza, dips to stews, hummus and even Bloody Marys.

The Otamot Organic Carrot Bolognese Sauce is a highly nutritious plant-based alternative to traditional Bolognese. The sauce is texturized using diced carrots and boasts big flavor. Made with 9 vegetables, it has no added sugar or preservatives, is a good source of fiber, USDA organic, non-GMO, gluten free, and Whole30 approved! I have yet to try this one but it’s on my list for next week!!!!

And here is that pizza dough recipe!!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading dough

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder

  • 2 teaspoons sugar

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.

Add the water and olive oil, and using a spatula, stir together the ingredients until combined.

Lightly flour your work surface then turn out the dough and knead it for 1 minute until it comes together into a smooth ball. (Do not over-knead the dough.)

Place a damp towel over the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.

When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 400°F.

Lightly flour your work surface then roll the dough into a 12-inch circle that’s roughly 1/4-inch thick.

Transfer the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper then top it with your preferred Otamot sauce, cheese and toppings.

Bake the pizza until the crust is golden brown and reached your desired level of crispiness, 15 to 20 minutes.

Remove the pizza from the oven then slice and serve.

This is a popular recipe on Pinterest and it is hands down one of the best!!! No wonder why so many bloggers have blogged it!

Not too thick..and not too thin!
