Jump on the Statement Hair Clip Trend With MACHETE

Incase you have been living under a rock hair clips are the new thing!!

They’re back - in a big way too!!!!

Surely you have seen the hair clip trend somewhere, whether it was on the heads of NYFW attendees or adorning the locks of your favorite Instagrammer. I’m usually not one to jump into short-lived trends – I tend to prefer the idea of a more timeless and unique look than trends usually allow for. Plus, I’m always working towards buying less and being more intentional about my purchases, especially when it comes to my wardrobe. But after eyeing the clips I saw everywhere for the past few months, I finally decided I was ready to take the plunge and take this trend for a spin this fall. After all, it’s a pretty low commitment experiment, with super affordable options out there. And it’s looking like it’ll stick around for a minute!!!

If you’re asking yourself “Uh, can I pull this off?” rest assured, there’s a way to wear barrettes without looking like you’re in middle school…thanks to MACHETE!!

Located in Atlanta, Georgia, MACHETE is a line of eco-conscious, affordable jewelry & accessories for everyday wear. MACHETE is frequently featured with Vogue, Bazaar, Instyle, Atelier Doré and throughout publications worldwide.

I of course am obsessed with their French Clips—delicate barrettes handmade from eco-friendly acetate and clips from Paris, France. I wanted a pop of color since my hair is so dark so I went with the French Clip in Yellow!!! She measures: 3.75” x .75" and of course is Italian Acetate handmade in France. It’s the perfect clip that’s fitting for my hair texture too. It’s big enough to not get lost in the texture and volume-but not so big I just feel a little out of place or like I am trying too hard.

I also received this beautiful comb that is hand carved and polished from eco-friendly acetate. It just looks so beautiful on my vanity!!! The butter color is perfect. The No. 2 comb is suitable for all hair types. Works for wavy and curly hair types.
