This Pupcake recipe is for all of my friends out there who treat their dogs like their children. My two sweet boys love healthy pupcakes so much! (scroll down for recipe)And luckily with all the time I have had at home these past few months I have been baking some wonderful treats for my dogs. However I still love having store bought healthy dog treats in the house- not only because I love spoiling my pups but because they come in handy for so many various things! (keeping them occupied during my at home zoom meetings, training them to be pro walkers on the leash especially now that the river trails are getting so packed with cyclists, and just giving them a little special treat to let them know how much I love them) I will do anything to see those sweet wagging tails! My knowledge of dog health and nutrition is vast and I believe that all dogs deserve healthier and better tasting snacks!

Our love and our love for baking has grown! And we have been using Hiland products as we recreate these family recipes. Lin’s mom says you cannot bake without Hiland butter and I would agree! (wisest lady) Hiland’s butter is made with the freshest ingredients! It’s so creamy. And from smooth and spreadable to solid and salted, Hiland has butter for your every baking need. We always have it on hand.
Read MoreTaken a look at the calendar lately? It’s hard to believe how quickly this year is racing by and that Memorial Day is in two days! It’s one one of my favorite food days of the year, and I’ve been scouring my recipe files for ideas on what to make (there’s still a debate going on at our house between burgers and fajitas.) LOL! But really, my favorite part of Memorial Day is always dessert! So today I am sharing a delicious recipe for a gorgeous tasty strawberry pie!!!!
This strawberry pie is best made with fresh strawberries. However, in a pinch, frozen strawberries will work.
Keep in mind that frozen strawberries will expel more moisture than fresh strawberries. As such, you may have to add additional cornstarch to the mixture.
OKAY, LET’S MAKE A STRAWBERRY PIE!

As difficult of a time as this is for so many businesses- especially those in the tourism space - I personally am really loving seeing so many wonderful people getting creative with their offerings. So for today’s #FrenchFridaysWithGFY feature I want to tell you about La Peetch.
La Pitchoune or 'La Peetch' was the summer home of Paul and Julia Child for nearly 3 decades. Built on the homestead of Simone Beck, known as Bramafam, La Pitchoune was the house 'Built on Friendship'. Julia Child, after the death of her beloved, left La Pitchoune back with the Beck family.
Dutch babies (also known as German or oven pancakes) are a great way to get your protein in the morning. They contain a higher ratio of eggs to flour than regular pancakes. But they still satisfy your carby-sweet morning cravings.
You can add many different kinds of fruit to a Dutch baby. Peaches pair particularly well though! They’re already soft and juicy, so you don’t have to worry about getting them cooked through. And the flavor—oh, the FLAVOR! You really must try it for yourself.

Homemade pasta is so simple! I have no idea why i have been buying the dry stuff from the markets for so long. So far have mastered spaghetti noodles, lasagna, potato gnocchi, and now raviolis!
Don’t be intimidated. The reality is it truly is one of the simplest things to make. Only a few ingredients and you have a pasta that is better than anything you will find in the store.
Read MoreWe begin the 8th week of self isolating today and I have to admit..I have not minded too much of it. Lin and I were talking last night over dinner and discussing the things we have enjoyed during this whole process. I have been appreciating a slower life and a more open calendar. There’s nowhere I need to be, no rushing around to get somewhere, and not a lot of FOMO aside as I tend to retreat in the warmer weather anyhow! (fall-winter baby over here) We have been enjoying cooking our own meals at home more too where before we would eat out at least twice a week! It gets so expensive and you really have no idea how restaurants are preparing your food!

Read MoreChicken Francese isn’t as well known a recipe but the flavors are as special as your favorite French restaurant in my opinion!
WHAT DOES “FRANCESE” MEAN?
It means “French style,” or “the French way,” but what it refers to is chicken fried in a flour mixture and egg wash with citrus juice until golden brown. Chefs aren’t entirely sure where the term originated, but cooking chicken “the French way” certainly makes for a tasty meal.
Read MoreI have been dreaming of homemade gorgonzola gnocchi since we left Northern California! So I decided to recreate a beautiful delicious gorgonzola gnocchi! Not familiar with gnocchi?! Well…this plump, pillowy potato pasta originated in Northern Italy, where the colder climate was much more conducive to growing potatoes than grains. Gnocchi was filling and inexpensive, which made it a popular meal. That said, Northern Italy is the birthplace of other hearty Italian classics too, like risotto and polenta. What gnocchi has become, however, is much more than its humble peasant roots.
