20 Black Female Creatives That You Need To Follow & Hire Right Now

IMG_7599.JPG

Bonjour everyone! Hi. Hello. How are we feeling?

Let’s take a deep deep inhale and now exhale…..and repeat.

The past several days have illuminated injustices, inexplicable violence, and systemic racism against Black people in our country and worldwide. I personally have been taking the week to educate myself and others and understand how I personally can influence real change, especially with my Go French Yourself brand. My brand is lacking diversity and I really want to change that. I want to support and elevate inspiring Black creators, models, authors, designers, and black owned businesses in a way that feels authentic to my brand. I will begin to amplify this through profound features here on my blog and social media channels. I am working on having a new page developed on this blog so you can easily locate all of the content.

I will be donating to several impactful organizations and not just this week. These are the organizations I have on my radar.

I will also be petitioning and using my signature as a call to action.

I will continue to constantly learn, evolve, and educate myself. I am still adding accounts on Instagram that share helpful information and initiatives to my list so please send me any and all recommendations.

I have found so many wonderful new accounts to follow and engage with. I also am highlighting some accounts I already followed but am dying for you to start connecting with them too!

So this post is a celebration of the black female creatives producing AMAZING content…beautiful beautiful work! I am just going to quote her blog bio here…

I have always been passionate about beauty, but it was during my first trip to New York in 1999, where I discovered a whole other universe of beauty dedicated to black women that I really took an interest in the beauty issues encountered by black women living in Europe. Surfing on forums where I shared my beauty tips and advice, I decided some time later to create something more intimate that looks like me but that would also speak to a large number of women and share with her through the canvas my vision of it is what BLACK BEAUTY in its diversity and richness. Today, in parallel with my blogging activity, I also do consulting and auditing with major cosmetic and luxury brands. I organize beauty events and hold conferences in France and abroad. Here you are at home, you take off your shoes, you settle in comfortably and you escape into a world where being a woman is celebrated from head to toe. .
— Fatou N'diaye

I look forward to making more new connections and sharing them with you!

Go French Yourself is dedicated to making space for Black voices, but more importantly, I want to be committed to educating white people on how to be better allies and proactively anti-racist!

Don’t stop fighting!!!!!!
