Where To Buy Native Plants In Santa Fe

It’s about to be planting season in Santa Fe and Lin and I could not be more excited!!! We are planting 5 trees and 4 native plants in our back area of our new home here! Cannot wait for the extra shade in the future summer seasons and am looking for a bit more privacy too in our back desert area!

We visited Plants of the Southwest over the weekend and found everything we were looking for! The grounds here are just beautiful! And the staff is so knowledgeable too!

Plants of the Southwest

Gardening and reclamation with native dryland plants

They are a small local plant nursery and seed store based in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque NM.
They sell seeds, trees, shrubs, grasses, cacti & perennials that are native and desert-adapted.

In 1976, they started offering southwest native plants. They flourish here in New Mexico !.

Plants of the Southwest favors No-work or Low-work gardening and reclamation.
Since native plants thrive on their own once established they have time to enjoy them and see their surroundings as the larger family.

Please visit their stores to purchase seeds or plants. Their catalog shows the range of seeds available in store.
