November Styling Ideas

November 1st! Whoa. How did that happen so fast you guys?! I am patiently awaiting the cooler brisk weather as I am dying to wear some great pieces I purchased in Boston. I mean Fall is fashion's most anticipated season after all. Oklahoma is hanging onto the Indian Summer and as I sit here and write in my condo with the windows open today, I can hear the beginning of fall approach with the sound of the leaves in the wind. The air feels and sounds completely different.

We set those clocks back this weekend which I love and  I am getting super excited for the chillier mornings and nights. With the days still warm, layers are key though. I am obsessed with capes and throws currently as they make the perfect layering pieces. Air still gets through them if need be and tights. Omg tights are my favorite! So here is my November shopping list for you dears. I will be working on these monthly now and hope it will be a nice feature of the blog for you. Just click the photo widgets to shop and utilize the arrows to see more suggestions too. HA! (my grandparents read my blog and suggested I explain this in detail so hello Chico and Grandpa Ruble)

NOVEMBER STYLING MUST HAVES:

The Madewell Cape Scarfs: These are simply genius. Madewell designers added convenient armholes to the cozy scarf so it can be worn around the neck or as a cape. Soooo smart, right?! I love versatile pieces. These are the best travel companions and I am going to order two more. They fold up nicely in my purse when I am hot and I just know I will get the ultimate use out of these. I loved adding the timeless buffalo checkered pattern into my wardrobe too. Not really a print gal but this was just enough and it's timeless in the green and black. All though I am heavily considering that red and black buffalo check print for the holiday Christmas card. ( I also loved pairing mine under my thicker black BCBG cape-let to create some layers and a pop of print)

The Cape: Forget the statement coat and opt for a cape instead. It's the outerwear item of the moment and is so incredibly versatile. The cape can easily carry you into winter too and I love it that much more because I can really show off the fun texture or color in my long sleeve tops and sweaters. I love the airy vibe of a cape too. I just found an amazing reversible cape too from Cartonnier. One size is camel, the other side is heather grey! They have a plaid and navy one too that I linked below that I am strongly debating. Going to live in it until Spring 2017!

Tights: Just because the weather will soon be changing, that doesn't mean you have to get rid of your fave summer dresses yet. Simply pair them with tights and a chic ankle boot, and carry a ladylike bag and bold lippy. I adore this effortless look and the opaque Spanx tights are my absolute fave thing on earth. I love the slimming look to the tummy and thigh area and they even lift your booty. But they are also comfortable. I hate Spanx slips and corsets. I cannot breathe in those things. And have fun with a pop of color too with your tights. Loving so many of the prints for a trendy piece. It's an inexpensive way to try something new.

What is on your November shopping list loves?!
