Super Bowl Chili

Whether you're a die hard game lover or just on BEY-watch nothing says Super Bowl like a comforting bowl of chili!

The best part is the slow cooker does the work for you so you can spend the day preparing for your Super Bowl guests. I have taken a few years to really perfect my recipe so here it is.

Incredibly simple too...

(serves 6 to 8)

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 large green pepper diced
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1 poblano pepper
  • 1 large white onion diced
  • 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 can of green and red chiles (i personally love the organic Hatch)
  • 1 15 ounce can Kidney beans
  • 1 15 ounce can Pinto Beans
  • 1 15 ounce can Black Beans
  • 2 whole packets of spicy chile powder (love the organic one at WF)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons mexican beer
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Brown your meat and onions in a pan and the dump everything into the slow cooker on low for 8 hours!!

For toppings I enjoy green onions, shredded cheddar, sour cream, avocado, lime wedges and corn chips or crackers.

I dare you to only have one bowl!!
