Letting Spring In With Amara Living

I have partnered with the fabulous Amara Living again to bring you four of my fave things from their site, just in time for Spring.

If you have followed me for a while now, you already know my deep love for Amara. You can revisit these five past posts here. They are just the absolute bests for luxury gifts and design essentials and interiors for the home. Initially starting life as an interior design business, Amara has always been about bringing designer style and expert knowledge to every home. Created by husband and wife team, Andrew and Sam Hood, the company has utilized their combined strengths from the very beginning. Sam’s career in retail fashion nurtured her innate talent for styling and staying ahead of the trends, and she found her calling in interiors after project managing her own home renovation. Andrew’s business know-how and acumen come from spending over twenty years as Head of Equity Trading at a large US investment bank until 2004. These strengths saw the interior design company migrate into a shop on the stylish Baddow Road in Chelmsford. Stocking the best in home accessories and carefully curated interior must-haves, the shop helped to initially build their client base and relationships with the world’s most coveted luxury brands. Soon Andrew spotted a gap in the online market place for a distributor of true luxury homeware, and taking an entrepreneurial leap of faith they created Amara.co.uk. Today, Amara proudly houses over 300 of the world’s most luxurious home fashion brands. Many of which are exclusive to us, such as Ralph Lauren Home, who have carefully selected Amara as the only online store to distribute their home collections.

Swoon! The best! The best! The best!

So I just recently did an entire much needed Living Room Makeover. OMG-you have to see it here

We updated the color palette with heather grey and flesh tones along with copper which really look so fabulous with the white background. We took advantage of the large windows which fill the room with the prettiest natural light, so keeping the color palette simple was top priority.  I love the view you get from the living area looking straight into the kitchen.  You get such a great vantage point that also provides you a better look at the wood flooring and the ways that Lin has blended colors to make this space a perfect mix of warm and cool shades. And speaking of flesh tones----let's just dive in to my first two products I wanted from Amara Living.

The first being for these spotted boys of mine! LOL!

(Henry's bandana is from Wag & Wit. They work tirelessly to give every dog a voice . They donate $1 from every bandana purchase to The Humane Society of the US, the nation's largest and most effective animal protection organization. The selection is amazing ! So many funny clever sayings ! Check them out and enjoy 20% off your first purchase using promo code GFY20.)

We needed storage for the pups toys and they play in the living room so we wanted something functional and obviously attractive. When I found the Restore Basket from Muuto on Amara's site, I knew this would be the perfect piece. The dimensions were spot on. And Muuto 's pieces are just exquisite. Muuto is rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition of enduring aesthetics, functionality, craftsmanship and an honest expression. I originally found it in grey and that totally would have worked but then I discovered it in rose melange. It is the perfect rose pink matching the other flesh accents in the room. This beauty has such a distinctive design but of course who would expect anything less as it was expertly designed by Mika Tolvanen. The flexible polymer felt adds some texture too. And with the two cut-out handles it can easily be transported from room to room. This piece would also be great for storing magazines, shoes, pantry items and so on.

Linking some popular colors for you and also linking some round versions here which are lovely!!

The next piece that I wanted was a simple rose pink vase for some greenery. The Hexagon Vase from Ferm Living in rose is the exact beauty I envisioned in my mind. Made from powder coated metal, this vase boasts a delightful soft pink finish, adding a feminine touch wherever it is placed. Leave empty as a decorative touch or fill with a favorite flower or leaf to complete the look. I had been dying for a Ferm Living piece in my home for quite some time. They were founded in Denmark by Trine Anderson in 2005, after being inspired by a bird perched on a branch ready for flight. Scandinavian design traditions and retro charm run throughout each design with a stunning graphic edge to add a contemporary feel. With the growing range of products expanding across the globe, each item is made using sustainable and organic alternatives, respecting honest craftsmen. Each design is inspired by everyday life, striving to create pieces for every room of the house with a homelike quality and modern design. And I am just obsessed.

Linking one below!

Our amazing pouf from Article has since been delivered since I posted about my living room edit. This piece was on backorder and we just got it a few weeks ago. We wanted a side table that could equally create additional seating for our tiny space when we have guests. But as a side table it needed a nice sized tray where we could house fresh blooms, morning coffee, wine, and so on. I wasn't entirely sure what color I had my heart set on here. But when I discovered the Pinot Layered Dots Glass Tray from Notre Monde on Amara's site-It was love at first sight. With a base of clear glass, this tray is patterned with a layered dot design in brown and burgundy. So it matches perfectly with our Paulistano Armchair and the natural brown tones of the framed  vintage Kuba textile. It has such a global feeling and we agree that infusing culture into a space is always a sure way to bring a new level of sophistication to a room. The juxtaposition of traditional and contemporary influences is striking and deepens the tone of the space. Edged with black wood, it is fabulous for serving canapés and drinks at parties and gatherings too so this is just the versatile piece we needed.

Founded by self-taught artist Dawn Sweitzer in 1997, Notre Monde blends luxury with practicality. A sophisticated collection of trays, mirrors & nesting tables, the brand creates one-of-a-kind, functional pieces using traditional methods. Notre Monde is an expression of Dawn’s cheerful, on-going immersion into various cultures. There are so many fabulous things to chose from and I know you all really fall in love with them.

Linking some styles I absolutely love!

And lastly the 4th item I want to share is the Wesco Classic Line Whistling Kettle  from Amara in stainless steel. I have never had a nice tea kettle my whole 38 years of life if you can believe that. And with as much I love tea, it was time to remedy this sad situation. I love having friends over for high tea in the Spring and am so excited I now am the proud owner of a fancy kettle that will last me a lifetime. It adds a nice retro addition to our ultra modern kitchen. Made from high quality stainless steel, this whistling kettle boasts a versatile metallic finish, perfect for use with a variety of color schemes. The ‘stay cool’ silicone handles in black make this kettle easy to grip and easy to pour from. Additionally, the flick-switch release system and the tightly closing lid ensure an easy pour without spills time and time again. I love it so much!

Founded more than 140 years ago, Wesco combines excellent German quality and exclusive design with high tech functionality. Inspired by the use of classic design within modern products, Wesco continue to produce an ever growing range of products from iconic bin designs such as the push boy and space boy to bread bins & kettles.

We love working with Amara Living so much!
