What To Expect At #BITENWA - A Fabulous Foodie Event in Northwest Arkansas

When there's a foodie event in Northwest Arkansas which is soooo close to us here in Oklahoma, it would be stupid not to pop along to check out what all the fuss is about. Am I right fellow foodies?! This will be by second year to attend Bite NWA and I am just over the moon over it. Over the course of three evenings you will experience the best food, beverages, restaurants, chefs, ingredients and brands Northwest Arkansas has to offer.

Pretty much the ultimate foodie dream if you ask me! My stomach is already rumbling!

An Interview With Alex -Deco Drinks Tulsa

Deco Drinks across from LaFortune Park is something of a local institution. No matter what beverage you order, consider it heaven in a cup. You can find coffee, Matcha, Boba Tea, Chai, and loose leaf teas. I am absolutely obsessed with the beet lattes and the turmeric lattes because they have zero caffeine so they make the perfect mid-day pick me up! I have had to stop drinking so much caffeine after a bit of a health scare that you read about here.

You can also find the best avocado toast in Tulsa!

Event Review: Launch Bloggers Conference 2019

Just wanted to following up on my day trip to OKC the other weekend! My friend Cassie from True Agape hosted the very first Launch Bloggers Conference in Oklahoma City and I am so glad that I invested the time to attend. As you know I really wanted to step out of my introvert box and do new things in 2019. I normally would not attend something like this all by myself due to my severe social anxiety. I know it sounds silly but if you deal with anxiety, you will fully relate and if you don’t ..you will never truly understand how debilitating this condition is. I battle it every second of everyday.

Our conference took place at the beautiful OKC Museum of Art which is one of my favorite places to pass time when I am in the city. The Museum’s permanent collection covers a period of five centuries with strengths in European and American art from the nineteenth through twenty-first centuries, contemporary art, and one of the world’s largest public collections of glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly, whom I adore!

An Interview with Brooke Marshall — Club Pilates Tulsa

I always love a good Q & A and it’s something you all really love too because these posts always get the best readership. So happy you enjoy interviews with my peers, mentors, and Pilates greats. For it’s maiden voyage, it’s an honor for me to be interviewing one of the sweetest girls I have ever met, Brooke Marshall. We met in the Club Pilates South Tulsa studio and really connected through our love of getting a good workout in and writing and photography. She loved Pilates so much she is now an instructor and I could not be happier for her!

So while everyone is figuring out which way they're going to get fit in 2019, we've had our answer for a while now.

In The Kitchen With Shannon Smith From Beads & Basil/Along With Her Red And Green Shakshuka Recipes

I have been following the lovely Shannon from Beads & Basil for a few months and was so intrigued by her food, and travels so when she reached out inviting me to her kitchen to make one of my favorite dishes, well of course I said OUI! I was eager to get a closer look at her personal and professional life. A jewelry designer, a chef, a teacher, and a wife and mother on top of it all, Shannon does a little bit of everything. She has a meticulous yet laid back approach to life, which comes across in the work she creates and in the way she speaks about it all.

She is a wonderful human and such a fantastic chef to boot, (and here I though I was a decent cook) and her Shakshuka’s are out of this world delicious! I had no idea how simple it could be to create my own so I am so thankful to have learned with Shannon. I knew we were going to make a red Shakshuka but when I learned that we would make a red AND a green…well pitter patter went my heart! Two is always better than one, no?

E-mail Marketing Solutions With Emma

Anyone else receive a trillion Black Friday emails?! And now a trillion sale holiday emails for Christmas?! Anyone hitting the unsubscribe button?!

Ohh..I am definitely guilty as charged! HA!

But in all seriousness this got me thinking about my own brand and newsletter which I really need to get back into the habit of sending again especially for some of my email marketing campaigns. If I may 100% frank, I stopped a year ago because as soon as I sent them I would have at least 2-4 people unsubscribe and it really hurt my feelings, especially if one of the un-subscribers was a good friend whom I support in business. OUCH! Have you had that happen too? It is the worst feeling. Like the world is already cruel enough and I did not need to self inflict pain on myself….am I right?!

Sam's Top Ten Gift Items From An Affair Of The Heart Tulsa

And I don’t know about you but I am so fed up with mass-produced merchandise and stuffy, crowded stores! I really would love to avoid shopping mall options and big department stores this year all together if I am being 100% frank.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve got quite a long list of ladies (and gentleman) to shop for and the idea of finding the perfect present for all of your family and friends can be a little bit overwhelming. So today, I am here to help you get your gifting done all in one place.

And that is why I have partnered with An Affair of The Heart Tulsa and their vendors this year! They do so many great shows all year long (I attended the summer July show and just loved the concept) and I am so excited for this November show November 16th-18th in Tulsa! This event is on trend and so chic! Not only is this the place to find unique gifts but An Affair of The Heart is just the best weekend to get together with your family and/or best girlfriends and spend some time together shopping and doing something off the beaten path.

Tallgrass Prairie Day Trip Essentials Featuring Pearls Olives to Go

The prairie has been known to evoke powerful emotions in those that let it.

With nearly 11,000 acres of Mother Nature, see wide open space, beautiful vistas, wildflowers, wildlife, bison herd, a historic ranch and one-room school with limestone buildings, and plenty of solitude, each season brings something new to experience. Their motto is "Tall in the Fall" as it takes all season for the tall grasses to reach their maximum heights, which differ each season and are dictated by the amount of rainfall. Greater rain equals taller grasses. So if visiting in the spring, expect to see grasses up to 6 inches that continue to grow all year until they reach their maximum heights in late September/October.

A SOFT FOCUS ON SUMMER LIGHT

I have really been mood boarding like crazy (I had a lot of time to kill on my back for nine days with a neck sprain. Seriously who sprains their neck in their sleep?) And I really have been playing with light and shadows within my photography so I just wanted to share some beautiful pics that I took of my friend Katie. I think they are so pretty and hope you will too!
