My Favorite Enamelware- Along With Two Recipes For You// Peach Pie & Quiche Lorraine

I am so excited to tell you all about Falcon Enamelware today! I first introduced you to Falcon a few weeks ago when I shared a recipe for a Cherry Clafouti and today I am going to share two more recipes I made recently using my Falcon pieces!

Enamelware is so beautiful, so functional, and so light and compact to store. We have very little storage in our kitchen and an open pantry so Falcon really suits us perfectly. It’s also so easy to clean. It’s timeless and durable! Falcon is a UK company that now ships to the US, which is great because their quality and colors are the best out there. Enamelware is also great for camping trips as it packs light to stay nimble and agile on your travels! So it’s just incredibly versatile.

SINCE THE 1920S FALCON ENAMELWARE HAS BEEN AN ICON OF BRITISH HOME LIFE.

Better Sleep With Goodnight Darling Co.

This month, I am on a mission to cultivate as much gratitude as possible and one of the most effective ways I’ve found to do this is with one very small yet super powerful habit. Instead of thinking I “have” to do this today, I think I “get” to do this.

I get to go walk my pups and enjoy my neighborhood blooms! I get to cook dinner for the one I love. And so on…! See….try it!

Making my night time wind down routine something I “get” to do, rather than have to do too! The added benefit is that my quality of sleep is better as a result. And when Sam gets the sleep the world is just a better place! LOL!

“Bed time” is a term typically reserved for kids, but the truth is that the hour before you go to bed can be critical to how well you sleep.

Q & A With Jacqueline Carrington-Founder Of People Of Color

It all came down to the nail polishes I was using. Turns out nail polishes are filled to the brim with chemicals that are harmful for both you and the environment. EEEK! I’m going to be real here and admit that I never thought to read the ingredients on the label of nail polishes, as I do with my other beauty products.

Spoiler alert: I recently did and half of the words I can’t even pronounce, let alone know what they mean.

So next time you’re shopping for nail polish like me let’s buy from black-owned People Of Color! The hues are just fantastic and Jacqueline is just the sweetest person! I am so fortunate that she took the time to answer some questions for us for this lovely GFY feature!!!

JULIA CHILD'S CHERRY CLAFOUTI RECIPE

Happy Fourth & Bonne Féte Nationale! Can you believe the year is halfway over?! July is a celebratory month for both France and America! And I have the perfect little recipe for you to make today for either The 4th of July or Bastille Day. (Le 14 Juillet) Plus hello cherries! I love celebrating cherry season with a Julia Child classic!!! With ample pockets of fruit and a texture somewhere in between a custard, a cake, and a dutch baby, the clafouti (pronounced kla-foo-tee) is a classic French dessert that should be on your radar. Traditionally (and in this Julia Child recipe) sweet, dark Summer cherries are the fruit of choice, though berries or diced stone fruit (like plums or nectarines) also work wonderfully with the puffy custard base.

Luxury Fragrance Oils-Building A Wardrobe Of Signature Scents

I’m a huge believer in building a wardrobe of signature scents that you can spritz on depending on your mood or the season. That way I never feel bored or stuck with my fragrances. In the summer, I’ll wear something light —something that reminds me of being on vacation. And in the winter, I’ll go for something sweet or something very woodsy!

I also wear perfumes based on my moods, or the mood I want to have that day.

Riddle Oil makes it simple to build a fragrance wardrobe because they have 7 signature scents, all of them with a different personality; some are great for subtle everyday wear, some are more sensual, some more playful, but all very unique. They also believe that less is more in the fragrance world. They create scents that are not overpowering, but rather quietly inviting. the oils sit close to the body and trail as the person walks or simply creates an aura around the person. The 7 different scents come in roll-on oils, spray lotions, full-body oils, and candles.

One Kimono Robe That Adds A Little Luxury To Your Day

There’s no question I inherited my affinity from my mom; when I think back on my childhood, I recall someone frequently cascading down the stairs in a satin robe, or curled up on the couch in a plush terry cloth one watching Lifetime movies!

My own personal collection is quite impressive. And they each serve a distinct purpose: terry for immediately post-shower, jersey for hot summer days and when applying oils and lotions, and a few silk options for when I’m feeling especially leisurely chic! And these last few months in isolation..well let’s face it…all I have been living in is robes!!!! Some of my robes even mirror fab kimonos and dresses so they create the perfect dress up situation for a waist up Zoom meeting! Hey..there is actually no shame in my game! I admit this! I love adding a little luxury to my days now even when lounging. And my KIM+ONO kimono just makes me feel beautiful!!! Their hand-crafted kimonos are just so special.

Oui Please Summer Goodies

My Oui Please box arrived yesterday and I just had to share because there were so many fabulous trés chic goodies!!!!!!!!!!

My absolute favorite item was the PAPIER D’ARMENIE SCENTED FRAGRANCE STRIPS…..

Older than the Eiffel Tower, Papier d’Arménie was born in Paris in 1885 as a result of the experiments of a chemist and a scientist. The idea came from a travel to Armenia, country where the benzoin resin, derived from the bark of trees – the major ingredient of the booklet – was used to purify the air.
