The (Fancified) All American BBQ

Throwing parties is one of my fave things. I could definitely be an event planner! I love a good theme and I love paying close attention to all the tiny details.

The soon approaching Spring/ Summer months have me reminiscing on some sweet parties including one of my very favorite backyard BBQ's. My friend Kendal's birthday falls so close to July 4th so we wanted to incorporate the all american BBQ dish but it had to be delivered in a fancy way for me. I wanted this night to be remembered for eternity.

I rented two long tables from a party store. They actually delivered them and picked them back up after the party so for me that was well worth it! I ended up utilizing all my outdoor and indoor chairs (plus borrowed a few from a neighbor).

The fact that they did not match did not bother me one bit really. I had colorful fabric tucked away in a linen closet so i utilized that as my table cloth. The bright blue was fun and colorful so it ended up working quite nicely. I then found smaller printed fabric panels from Ikea and incorporated those in as well for a pop! I ended up purchasing tons of colorful tulle from the fabric store and wrapped the chairs in this creating a big beautiful bow so all of the chairs had a really elegant look...yet still colorful and fun!

Fresh flowers and fun feathers were a big hit as centerpieces. We of course, ate the classic BBQ ribs, baked beans, and potato salad on fancy china!! And of course there was cake and a delish easy Sangria punch !!

This was one of my most beautiful parties I have ever thrown!!! I need to do a repeat!
