Travel Guide: Houston Texas And It’s Most Instagram Worthy Spots-Stay & Dine Edition

I know so many of you have been so eager for this travel guide to be published and I am so thrilled to finally share all of my favorite Houston gems with you today! Considering just how close and accessible Houston is to Tulsa and of course Lin’s family living there, I have spent my last seven Thanksgiving holidays there and have yet to share. (well there have been a few things here and there) But it was time to really put a good itinerary together for you! And while this one is a bit long and picture heavy, I promise that you will get so much out of it for your Houston travels so bookmark this one! We have grown to love this picturesque and interesting city very much. In fact every time I visit The Magnolia City, I enjoy it more and more. As a creature of habit, I do tend to visit a lot of the same places because I love them, but always add something new to my trip each time. And thanks to my friend Karen who lives there, she is always keeping me in the loop of the newest and greatest! But I definitely have my Houston staples as I like to call them! Each and every one is highly Instagrammable too!

Styling A Bedside Table In A Modern Guest Room Featuring Gantri

Actually putting things on a nightstand in the guest room that your guests could/would enjoy?!!! Oui, please!!!

No matter who your guests are, there are a few items that are great, essential pieces to have on hand.

A bedside table-light is a great piece to start with when you are trying to figure out what to place on a side table or nightstand. It provides light if your guests need to get up in the middle of the night or perhaps they are readers and there is nothing worse than having to get up from bed sleepy eyed to turn off a light-switch. We love this Paris light by Javier Martinez from Gantri so much. Like all things French, Paris is simple, stylish and sophisticated. Its elegant design evokes the vintage and minimalist aesthetic of the French New Wave yet reimagined for the modern era. This versatile light adds character, culture and a soft, warm glow to any bedroom, living room or kitchen. It’s très chic, for nostalgics and modernists alike. It also comes in three colors!!

Fuller, Thicker Hair In Less Than 60 Seconds

If my hair could speak, then mine would definitely be screaming, “I’m oily! And I am thinning!”. The older I get..the more I struggle with the epic battle of thinning hair and even hair loss. I have extensions and that is a great solution for thicker fuller hair but when you start thinning at the roots at the very top of your head—well extensions cannot fix that. I part my hair in the middle too and when I keep seeing that middle part get wider and wider I literally want to hide and cry.

Girl Talk//Tips & Tricks On Avoiding And Managing UTI's

Hellloooo Ladies! Happy 2019!!

I am so excited that my first post of the new year is one that is health related as I cannot think of a better time to start taking care of business and by business, I mean a healthy urinary tract! Sometimes life throws us curveballs which makes our bodies throw us curveballs and suddenly nothing is working right. I'm talking about getting a dreaded urinary tract infection, which is one of the most common bacterial infections. And for me, my very own stress levels trigger urinary tract infections. (Our bodies struggle to flush out UTI-causing bacteria more when we're stressed and our immune system is compromised than when we're feeling healthy.) It has been this way for years and years too. I admit it. I have suffered from chronic recurrent UTI’s my whole adult life. And my personal vow when suffering from a health discomfort is to always try and heal naturally first so today I am sharing some tips and tricks to reduce the re-occurrence of UTIs among sufferers. These tips will help you maintain good urinary tract health in the new year and beyond.

Soaptopia// Junk Free All Natural Soap

I know many of you might need some last minute stocking stuffers and beautiful products for your guest bathrooms too this Christmas season so today I want to share Soaptopia with you!

Their SOAPstory began as a vision in Venice, California in 2005, and has blossomed to fill the homes and hearts of customers with alluring smells, moisturizing lathers, and products that are pumped with personality.

While ever-searching for the perfect pure and natural solution for her allergies to most products that saturated the market, Soaptopia founder Jolie Chitwood explored new alternatives, hoping to find a product that was equal parts nourishing, natural, and enveloped in a yummy scent. She experimented with her own concoctions, and her newfound solution became an inspiration to focus on the energetic aspects of healing, and understanding of how energy moves within our bodies. She created her own handmade soaps, transforming her home into an apothecary of sensory bliss, filled with flowers and natural oils, and immersed herself in the study of herbal holistic education.

E-mail Marketing Solutions With Emma

Anyone else receive a trillion Black Friday emails?! And now a trillion sale holiday emails for Christmas?! Anyone hitting the unsubscribe button?!

Ohh..I am definitely guilty as charged! HA!

But in all seriousness this got me thinking about my own brand and newsletter which I really need to get back into the habit of sending again especially for some of my email marketing campaigns. If I may 100% frank, I stopped a year ago because as soon as I sent them I would have at least 2-4 people unsubscribe and it really hurt my feelings, especially if one of the un-subscribers was a good friend whom I support in business. OUCH! Have you had that happen too? It is the worst feeling. Like the world is already cruel enough and I did not need to self inflict pain on myself….am I right?!

Visiting Boston’s Seaport District In November//New England Fall

Every time I visit Boston, I enjoy it more and more. As a creature of habit, I do tend to visit a lot of the same places because I love them, but always add something new to my trip each time.

Lin and I have family there so this is our third trip to New England and we look forward to it every year. If you are looking for a guide to Boston’s most “Instagrammable” places, you can find it here. It’s still one of my most read travel guides to date. We decided to travel Maine’s coast prior to our Boston trip and I highly recommend everyone seeing this part of the world! Read my 7 day Maine itinerary before you plan! Cape Liz and Kennebunkport are must sees!

There are so many areas in Boston but we really wanted to explore The Seaport District this go around and of course I wanted to spend some time in The lovely North End too. I just have so many favorites there so it’s hard to not just spend all of my time there.
